As ex-South African Swimmers with a long-standing legacy in the game in this country, the architect brothers dreamt of one day designing and building a state of the art 50m indoor aquatic facility to rival any international venues out there. With any sports facility there’s a heightened need to consider safety factors and building materials that tolerate dry/wet conditions. With detailed knowledge and first-hand experience in the culture of the sport the team was well suited to accommodate the international standards and requirements taking into account the flow and how athletes move between spaces.
